Three of Our Researchers Presented at the 21st Winter School in Mineral Sciences
The central theme of this year’s 21st Winter School in Mineral Sciences was “Smart Minerals”, providing an excellent opportunity to present the latest results of our research group. At the event, three of our members delivered presentations in the form of two talks closely related to the conference theme.
In her presentation entitled “Explosive or Effusive: What Does Apatite Reveal about the Interior of Volcanoes?”, Krisztina Hajdu highlighted the role of the mineral apatite in understanding volcanic activity and eruption mechanisms. The joint presentation by Emese Pánczél and Kende Fülöp Szűcs, “Smart Olivine – What Do Olivine and Its Melt Inclusions Tell Us about the Magma Source Region?”, focused on the significance of olivine and the information it preserves for the study of magmatic and geodynamic processes.
The conference, characterized by high-quality and thought-provoking presentations, also provided an excellent platform for our early-career researchers, whose contributions attracted considerable attention and recognition, further strengthening the professional visibility of our research group.
